The biggest story for us so far this year was our trip to New Zealand in March with Django. Its a huge honour to represent your country, to have that Australian Flag on your saddle blanket. To also to be able to represent the Friesian breed was a double honour. The first Australian bred, owned and based Friesian to be a representative in a foreign International CDI.
It was something that could not have been done without the support of some very generous people. We ran a Go Fund Me Campaign to help cover the costs of Jeremy and Django travelling to New Zealand. We ran a couple of competitions as part of the campaigner offering two lessons on Django and one lesson on someone’s own horse given by Jeremy. Those lesson haven’t been given yet but we will report in when they have been.
The pair of them did very well, winning the warm class, the Inter 11 and then getting personal best scores in the GP and Freestyle and gaining a 3rd and a 4th.
